Spitalfields City Farm

Spitalfields City Farm is located by Allan Gardens, between Buxton Street and Pedley Street (where Shoreditch tube station is) off Brick Lane.
 

Local people started the farm in 1978 as a small community allotment. It is sited on a former railway goods depot, close to the square mile. They are a registered charity and have developed into a project providing a wide range of activities and opportunities to the local community.

 

The farm's education, volunteering and horticulture programmes are especially popular.
