Refugee poem

By Alex Moss and Peter Moneur

God can you help me
There’s gangsters all over the city
They want to kill me
Whya can’t they leave me be
Can’t they see I’m a refugee
I ran away from this in my other country
I want to be safe like my family
In another country waiting for me to come home
Hoping I will instead of me out here alone
I don’t want to run anymore
Cause I’m running out of places to hide
I wish my family was by my side
They said they would be there for me
But they lied
I hope they haven’t died.
